What to do during an Asthma Attack?

An asthma attack can be a terrifying experience. But it’s important to keep yourself calm and know how to handle it.
Follow these 4 steps if you are experiencing an exacerbation of your asthma symptoms:
- Move away from the potential triggers (if any) that might have caused your asthma attack. Watch out for any allergens, smoke, or pollution in your environment.1
- Sit upright and loosen up any tight clothing; try to stay calm.2
- Take one puff of your prescribed reliever/rescue inhaler without a moment’s delay.2
- If you don’t feel better, take another puff as prescribed by the doctor.2
If you still don’t feel relieved from the symptoms, call your doctor or visit the nearest hospital immediately.2
Take care of yourself and remember to take your medications daily on time.
